NRA Basic Rifle Shooting Course

This is an 8 hour entry level course for an individual with no prior rifle experience

Topics covered:

• Rifle Knowledge and Safe Gun Handling
• Ammunition Knowledge and the Fundamentals of Rifle Shooting
• Firing the First Shots
• Scoring Targets and Selecting and Maintaining your Rifle
• Positioning
• Cleaning
• Course Review and Exam

Items to bring:

• Rifle (.22 caliber or larger)
• Hearing protection
• Eye protection
• 100 rounds of ammo (at least)
• Hat
• Sunglasses
• Sunscreen
• Lunch
• Water
• No open toed shoes
• At the conclusion of this course the student will receive a certificate of completion.
